We wish to welcome all prospective members. The purpose of the P-38 National Association is to collect information, memorabilia, and to perpetuate the memory of the famed WWII P-38/F-5 Lockheed "Lightning" for future generations. We have well over 1900 records of persons with hands on experience or as dedicated fans of this state of the art WWII fighter aircraft. It was not just a fighter, but carried high explosive and incendiary bomb loads competing with early WWII bomber aircraft. (4,000 lbs.) It was the weapons system used by our most famous ace, Major Richard Bong.
Our hands-on Members include crew chiefs, maintenance personnel, armorers, cooks, pilots, and administrators of any military organization flying or supporting the aircraft. This includes WASP personnel. technical representatives and manufacturing representatives of companies who supported the military, or supplied the factories producing or maintaining the P-38/F-5. Our fans include those who had relatives involved in the manufacture or use of the planes, those who are enthusiasts of this plane or the period in history.
When you decide to join, please give complete detail to the questions asked herein. This data will be used to update our Members History computer file, so that may be sorted and readily used for research by writers, historians, and those looking for past friends/associates.
We are currently building a P-38 Museum to preserve for all time, the history of the P-38.

Membership is by calendar year and anyone joining will receive newsletters for that year.
ANNUAL DUES
Residents of U.S. or served by U.S. Postal Service: $25.00
Residents of Canada or Mexico: $30.00 (U.S. funds only)
All other Non-U.S. locations: $35.00 (U.S. funds only)
LIFE MEMBERSHIPS
Those born prior to 12/31/25: $200.00. Those born after 12/31/25, but prior to 12/31/35: $300.00
Those born after 12/31/35: $400.00
